Todd Adams has been appointed as the new executive chef at Saffire Freycinet.
Adams has replaced long-standing executive chef, Hugh Whitehouse, who has taken on a new role within the company as executive food and beverage manager within Federal Group Tourism.
Adams’ latest work has seen him at Brisbane and Melbourne diners including Epicure at Brisbane City Hall, Stokehouse Q Brisbane, Urbane Restaurant, Euro Brasserie, Lamaro’s Restaurant & Bar, Taxi Dining Room and Vanitas and Vie Restaurants by Palazzo Versace.
Most recently, Adams played a significant role in the opening of Next Hotel Brisbane by Silver Needle Hospitality, where he was engaged as the executive chef.
“I feel my natural career progression has led to this point. I’m looking forward to the new adventures and working closely with the Saffire team and Hugh Whitehouse,” he said.
Saffire Freycinet is part of Tasmania’s Federal Group, and earlier this month the establishment was recognised by the Tourism Industry Council Tasmania, winning the state tourism award and advancing into the final of the Australian Tourism Awards, which will be held on 24 February, 2017.
