Aristotle’s Greek has opened in Neutral Bay.
Dishes include the hand-made, puffed Aristotles haloumi paired with pomegranate and balsamic, and the barbequed Cypriot sausages, which are set aflame and cooked at the table.
Owner and former architect, Maria O’Meagher’s parents will be in the kitchen alongside head chef Heydon Young, with her father preparing a daily selection of spit roasted meats on the rotisserie. The venue has been designed entirely by O’ Meagher.
“I wanted to bring a Greek gem to the lower north shore, something that embraces style and sophistication with the wonderful sense of family Greek culture is renowned for. We make everything from hand, from the puffed haloumi to our unique truffle carrot condiment,” O’Meagher said.
Young previously worked at Mosman’s hatted Ecco, while pastry chef Barbaros Seref, worked Barangaroo’s Anason and Efendy.
The drinks list includes more than 10 Greek wines along with cocktails such as the Athenian ass, a vodka-based drink with Belvedere mango infused vodka, mango, lime and ginger ale. Nomad Brewing beers are on tap as well as local and imported craft beers by the bottle.
