The Star Sydney has welcomed a new casual dining pop-up restaurant, Luke Nguyen Street Food, which will operate until the end of November.
Located in The Star’s Caf Court, the pop-up will serve rustic southeast Asian street food including lobster tom yum with mussels, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves and vermicelli noodles; Vietnamese baguette with chargrilled lemongrass, Kurobuta pork patties, pork floss, pickled vegetables, coriander and chilli; and smashed fried crispy chicken with chilli sambal and rice.
The opening of Luke Nguyen Street Food pop-up follows the launch of Sokyo Ramen by Chase Kojima and Singapore Hawker Style – two pop-ups that featured at The Star over the last year.
Nguyen’s pop-up builds on his existing relationship with The Star, with the casino home to his Fat Noodle restaurant.
“I’m really excited to help build on The Star’s pop-up restaurant success, and look forward to offering food lovers some of the best rustic dishes from my recent street adventures. I guarantee visitors an exotic mix of tastes, textures and flavours straight from the heart of Southeast Asia,” Nguyen said.
The Luke Nguyen Street Food pop-up will operate daily from 19 August until the end of November and will be open on Sunday to Monday 11.30am – 9.00pm, Tuesday to Thursday 11.30am – 10.30pm and Friday to Saturday 11.30am – 11.00pm.
