The Australian Drinks Festival kicks off this weekend in Melbourne
The Australian Drinks Festival, formerly Top Shelf, is taking place this weekend at the Royal Exhibition Building, running over 16 and17 July.
The two day drinks festival aims to showcase premium, craft and boutique spirits, beers, wines, mixers and drinks with workshops, panels and live entertainment.
Sessions include a Mezcal v Tequila masterclass with Nick Peters of Mamasita Restaurant & Bar; Bartenders Guide to Better Coffee with Malcolm Gandar of Mr Black Spirits; Make a Career out of Bars; Vodka and Food Matching with Sergey Kucher of Beluge Vodka; and Meet the Winemakers – a Tutored Tasting.
Visitors will be able to sample many of the world’s finest drinks for free at the Australian Drinks Festival, and some exhibitors will be selling whole bottles for off-premise consumption.
There will also be a number of vendors selling gourmet burgers, hot dogs, desserts and coffee.
