Hospitality point of sale (POS) provider, Impos, has partnered with EFTPOS banking provider Tyro, giving venues an all-in-one solution for sales and payments.
The two companies have combined Impos’ hospitality POS software with Tyro’s EFTPOS payment system, and are offering the POS and EFTPOS at a monthly transaction blended fee of 1.9 percent (incl. GST) on any Visa, MasterCard, UnionPay or EFTPOS transactions.
“The blended rate is great for start-up hospitality venues and allows them to get up and running quickly and incur expenses for POS and EFTPOS as revenue is generated,” said Sean O’Meara, CEO and founder of Impos. “It’s important for us to allow venues to choose what works best for them, naturally a much larger mature venue would opt for a lower transaction rate combined with a SaaS (Software as a Service) monthly fee for POS software and services, of which Impos has been offering since 2005. This is all about offering venues a flexible solution.”
The partnership provides customers with Tap&Go and Pay@Table features, streamlines end-of-day reconciliation for operators and gives them access to web reporting analytics.
Andrew Rothwell, co-founder of Tyro said “This new offering is the latest in our evolutionary endeavors, to provide increased simplicity, pleasure and productivity to venue operators, their staff and customers, as they run their businesses.”
