Acre Eatery is set to expand its footprint at a sprawling space on Sydney’s North Shore.
According to Good Food, Acre will open its second venue in Sydney, but this one will be around the 2000 square metre mark.
Acre Artarmon will see multiple concepts come to life including a garden where produce will be grown on-site, a chicken coop, cafe, restaurant and a bakery.
The location was originally secured by The Grounds in 2016, however the group has since moved on a space in the Australian Technology Park in Everleigh, which is slated to open its doors this year.
The North Shore concept will be the third for Acre, which launched Acre Brickworks in Burwood, Melbourne, in 2019.
Acre is best known for its farm-to-table ethos championed by head chef Gareth Howard, whose food offering largely revolves around sustainable produce.
“Our goal is to create a consciousness about the effect of everyday food choices,” says the chef. “We aim to achieve this by providing a sustainable menu focused on transparency, seasonality and traceability.”
Acre Artarmon is slated to open in September this year.
