Adrian Richardson’s Carlton bistro La Luna will hold its last service on 3 August after 25 years in the Melbourne dining scene.
Opening in 1998, La Luna Bistro has been a local favourite in Carlton, serving a classic bistro offering championing local produce and season-led dishes.
Richardson says the decision to close La Luna Bistro comes as he turns to new opportunities as well as the need to focus on his other venues Pasta Bambino in Brunswick East and Maestro in Geelong.
“We haven’t taken the decision to close La Luna lightly and feel very fortunate to be able to do so on our own terms,” says Richardson.
“When I reflect back to that young chef who took a chance and signed the lease at 320 Rathdowne St, I never could have dreamed that La Luna Bistro would still be here today 25 years later … It’s the end of an era for my team and I, but we are so excited about what is to come.”
La Luna Bistro’s last service will be held on 3 August with the final week hosting a line-up of special events featuring the venue’s signature dishes.
Final bookings and tickets to the events can be purchased at La Luna Bistro’s website.
