Leading chefs from around the world are heading to Tasmania as part of TasTAFE Drysdale’s Great Chefs Series, held in Launceston and Hobart between March and August.
The Great Chefs Series will see chefs from around the world mentor, coach and collaborate with apprentices within the Tasmanian hospitality industry.
Participating chefs include:
- Alain Passard – Chef and owner of the three-star restaurant, L'Arpge in Paris
- Dominique Crenn – French chef and owner of two Michelin starred restaurant, Atelier Crenn, in San Francisco, California
- Christian Puglisi – Chef and owner of one star restaurant, Rel in Copenhagen.
TasTAFE Drysdale cookery, hospitality, tourism and events students will have the opportunity to work with the chefs to deliver a premium degustation event for the public, using local produce.
Throughout April and August, six Australian chefs will also head to Tasmania to work with students in developing a series of seven course degustations for the public.

- David Moyle
- Phil Wood
- Mike McEnearney
- Jacques Reymond
- Mark Best
