Okami has opened its first Sydney store after launching over 20 venues in Melbourne.
The all-you-can-eat concept is located on Illawarra Road in the Sydney suburb of Marrickville, offering diners 30-plus dishes for $34.80.
Dishes are made to order with beef carpaccio on offer alongside karaage chicken, agadashi tofu and chicken katsu.
The venue will also serve sashimi and sushi platters, takoyaki and chawanmushi.
“Launching in Sydney marks a new chapter which will see more people have the chance to experience our unique Japanese banquet for an affordable price,” says Nick Goh, executive chef.
Okami has ambitious expansion plans for Sydney, with up to 15 stores set to open by the end of 2021. A Silverwater location will be the next in line, with the venue set to open in mid-September.
Okami will operate two sittings for dinner (5:00 or 5:30pm-7:30pm and 7:45pm till close) and also has a takeaway menu.
