Sydney restaurant Alpha has launched an eight-seat bar dubbed Baraki.
While the venue only has a small number of seats inside, outdoor seating is also available when the bar kicks off from midday on weekdays and 5pm on Saturday.
Executive chef Peter Conistis has spearheaded the menu, which offers a range of small plates and dips. Dishes include vine leaves stuffed with sour cherry and lemon and grilled eggplant with black garlic and dill.
Bar manager Irek Luty has created the drinks menu which revolves around Greek spirits – namely ouzo, raki, mastiha and rakomelo.
Cocktails include the Cretan Warrior with Toplou Tsikoudia, cardamom, lime and cucumber and the Purple Poseidon with Hendrick’s gin, Skinos Mastiha, lavender and mild mountain tea.
Baraki is the second bar offering for Alpha, which also operates Beta bar upstairs.
