Sydney’s Applejack Hospitality have announced the purchased of The Forresters pub in Surry Hills.
It’s the first pub opening for Applejack since launching Endeavour Tap Rooms in 2016 and a sign of the group’s development.
“We are pumped to be undertaking this new project,” says co-founder Ben Carroll. “It is an iconic Sydney pub that has endured a mixed identity over the past few years.”
Co-founder Hamish Watts says the group will focus on delivering a community-centric watering hole with an Applejack twist.
“In these uncertain times, we wanted to diversify our group with a more casual offering in a truly special Sydney suburb.”
The venue will undergo a major renovation in the coming months, with more details to come.
Forresters is the latest addition to Applejack’s growing portfolio which includes the newly opened Hester’s, The Butler, SoCal, The Botanist, Bopp & Tone, June’s Shoppe and Endevour Tap Rooms.
