The Australian National Youth Team struck gold at the IKA Culinary Olympics held in Stuttgart, Germany.
While Norway may have won the overall competition, the Australian team beat out chefs from 59 countries to secure a bronze and gold medal in two categories.
The team consisted of chefs Billy Fox, Tori Pickens, Nattawat Thiengdee, Harrison Joyce, Maverick Cuthbert and Matt Wills, who competed in two categories over a five-day period.
The team won a bronze medal in the IKA Buffet category for 12 people and a gold medal in the Restaurant of Nations category which saw the chefs cook a three-course meal for 60 people.
A total of 2000 chefs from across the world cooked 7000 menus during the event, which saw 28,000 visitors attend.
