Finalists in the Australian Gourmet Travellers’ 2017 Restaurant Awards have been revealed ahead of the awards night on Wednesday 17 August. 

The winners will be announced in Sydney at the opening of David Thompson’s Long Chim Restaurant and featured in the new edition of the Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Guide.

Three finalists have been announced in seven categories: Regional Restaurant of the Year; Bar of the Year, Maitre D’ of the Year; Best New Talent; Sommelier of the Year; Wine List of the Year; and New Restaurant of the Year.  Additional categories to be presented at the awards evening are the Restaurant of the Year; the peer voted Chef of the Year; and Outstanding Contribution to Hospitality.
