Australian manufacturer FLAT Tech has been recognised with a prestigious industry award for its product FLAT Equalizers, which solve the age-old issue of wobbly restaurant tables.
FLAT Equalizers are this year’s recipient of the Kitchen Innovations Award, presented by the United States’ National Restaurant Association Show.
The award is presented each year to manufacturers that have developed and engineered a new product that has the potential to make a meaningful impact on a restaurateur’s success.
Developed by Australian inventor Tony Pike, FLAT Equalizers allow foodservice operators to fix instability in their existing tables.
The screw-in table feet use a self-contained hydraulic design that allows the table to be quickly adjusted with a simple press of the tabletop.
Since its release in May 2017, the product has received a positive response from the global foodservice industry.
“Having Equalizers recognised at this level is a tremendous achievement,” says Mike Drake, FLAT Tech’s managing director.
“Our other main product line, the self-stabilising FLAT table bases, has also won multiple awards in the industry for design and innovation. Both products reinforce FLAT’s position as a leading innovator and authority on creating the best dining experience for your guests.”
