Brent Savage and Nick Hildebrandt are set to expand their Sydney venue portfolio with the launch of Ria Pizza + Wine.
The chef and sommelier announced plans to move Monopole to the Sydney CBD in July, but said they would hang on to the Potts Point location, which will soon house Ria.
“Nick and I both love pizza and we have always joked about starting our own pizza place,” says Savage.
“When we decided to relocate Monopole to the CBD, we thought it would be a perfect opportunity to launch the concept in Potts Point.”
The venue will revolve around pizzas made with sourdough bases alongside a selection of snacks and small dishes.
Hildebrandt’s wine list will showcase some of his favourite producers and the space will undergo a slight refresh before opening.
Ria will open its doors in early November for dinner and takeaway.
