Neil Perry has announced his collaboration with South Australian winemaker, Jeffrey Grosset, to create two wines for his Burger Project outlets.
Grosset has worked closely with the Rockpool Group for the past 20 years, producing special Grosset-Rockpool wines, which are featured on the wine lists of Eleven Bridge, Rockpool Bar & Grill Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, Spice Temple Sydney and Melbourne and Rosetta.
He has now created two wines, exclusive to Burger Project, called Project Red and Project White.
“This collaboration is exciting for us as we’ve combined Jeffrey’s outstanding winemaking expertise with exceptional quality Riesling, Shiraz and Cabernet fruit to create two well crafted and well priced wines for our Burger Project customers to enjoy,” said Perry.
Made from Clare Valley Riesling, Project White is a fresh crisp style with light white flower, crunchy green apple and lime notes, and a dry finish.
Project Red is made from Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon fruit, and is a full flavoured wine with notes of plum and spice. It has undertones of earth and blackcurrant.
“With a focus on freshness and drinkability, these two wines offer exceptional quality, delicious flavours and approachability; wines to be enjoyed by everyone,” Grosset said.
The Project wines are $8.50 per glass or $39 per bottle and are available at all Burger Projects in Sydney and Melbourne.
