Sydney’s Barrenjoey House has reopened under The Boathouse Group, who purchased the venue in June.
The restaurant has been closed for six months to undergo renovations, with the new fit-out mirroring the group’s signature beach-side aesthetic.
“Barrenjoey House is a historic Sydney restaurant,” says co-owner Andrew Goldsmith. “We feel very fortunate to be the new custodians, and hope we can do justice to this very special location. Our team is excited to work on a different food concept to our cafes, as well as a different service style.”
Group executive chef Thom Williamson and head chefs Doug Graser and Petr Buchel have designed the menu which revolves around local produce.
“We want everyone to feel welcome at Barrenjoey House, somewhere to drop in for a casual drink and a snack after a day at the beach, or to visit for a special occasion,” says Goldsmith.
The venue will be open for lunch and dinner Tuesday to Thursday, with accommodation available in early 2019.
Barrenjoey House joins the Boathouse portfolio which now consists of eight venues across Sydney and the New South Wales Central Coast.
