Hotels are stepping up their food game and offering premium experiences that rival the best restaurants across the globe. Racines in Sofitel Singapore City Centre has created the ultimate Sunday brunch that combines the best of both worlds — a curated buffet and à la carte mains.
Dubbed the Lifestyle Brunch, diners can enjoy a range of options from the buffet, with special mention going to the house-made viennoiseries and 15 French cheeses along with the salad atelier, which covers compound creations such as sea salt-baked organic beetroot with marinated feta and pear and the option to DIY with a range of fresh ingredients.
But before you get carried away with the buffet, don’t forget to try out the mains designed by executive Chinese chef Andrew Chong and executive chef Jean-Charles Dubois. The signature menu offers a range of French and Singaporean dishes including seafood laksa, crab rigatoni with crispy spiced shallots, Hainanese chicken rice and French onion soup.
You can step things up a notch with the premium menu created by Dubois, with highlights including locally farmed frogs legs with French pink garlic aioli and parsley butter ragout with wild mushrooms. Australian striploin is another top pick along with lobster bisque and slow-cooked Angus beef cheek.
And what’s a meal without a glass of wine or a non-alcoholic option? Guests can choose from beverage packages ranging from juices and sodas to wines, craft beers, Champagne and revolving cocktails. Finish off the meal with the dessert atelier which covers classic French sweets such as éclair au chocolat and local desserts such as gulab jamun (fried milk balls in fragrant syrup) and durian mousse cake.
The Luxury Brunch puts the power in your hands, allowing customers to indulge in the freedom that comes with a buffet plus the à la carte menus curated by the restaurant’s executive chefs. What’s better than that?
