Australian coffee brand Campos has been sold to JDE Peet’s for an undisclosed sum.
Campos Coffee currently services more than 600 cafes across the country alongside its direct-to-customer, retail and flagship operations.
In 2020, Campos generated revenues of approximately $50 million AUD.
“We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved from our humble beginnings on the streets of Newtown in Sydney,” says Will Young, Campos founder.
“The transaction will enable the Campos brand to further unlock its true potential. JDE Peet’s has become Australia’s leading pure-play coffee business by respecting the heritage and uniqueness of local coffee brands.
“We are confident that Campos can and will continue to grow under their stewardship by continuing to focus on what made us Australia’s number one specialty coffee brand – high quality coffee and great service to our café partners.”
JDE Peet’s is behind more than 50 coffee brands including L’OR, Moccona, Harris and Espresso Di Manfredi.
The transaction is expected to be completed in July 2021.
