Chefs Pastry will open on Kensington Street, Chippendale on 1 December.
The venue is a collaboration between Kaisern Ching, creator of Chefs Gallery, and Dr Stanley Quek, founder of Kensington St.
Chefs Pastry combines centuries-old French pastry techniques with pan-Asian flavours, resulting in a menu that covers sweet and savoury items.
Milk bubble tea mousse cake, green tea opera cake and sweet potato Mont Blanc are all on offer. Choux puffs are given a contemporary makeover with Japanese yuzu meringue, and crepe cakes are reinvented with lychee rose.
Savoury options include beef rendang and black pepper duck pies alongside a range of quiches.
An exclusive coffee blend roasted by boutique Sydney roasters Vella Nero will also be available.
“Chefs Pastry is the next step forward in our goal of bringing delicious pan-Asian flavours to a wider contemporary audience,” says Ching.
“Our brand new storefront will offer a fascinating blend of Eastern and Western influences that will appeal to a whole new generation of diners, at a fantastically accessible price point.”
Chefs Pastry will be open seven days a week, 11am-3pm.
