AHA (NSW) has notified its members that Liquor and Gaming NSW is preparing to conduct increased compliance and monitoring inspections at licensed premises in the lead up to and throughout the Anzac Day long weekend.
A memo to AHA (NSW) members states that NSW police including Alcohol Licensing Enforcement Command (ALEC) and local licensing officers will also be out in force.
Inspectors will focus on venue compliance with liquor and gaming laws, particularly in relation to intoxication; compliance with licensing conditions; RSA accreditation; undesirable liquor promotions and activities; and sale of liquor to minors.
Venues have also been notified that a permit is not required for the game of two-up to be played on-premise, providing it is played under the set rules.
