On-demand food delivery service, Deliveroo, has announced the expansion of its network into Brisbane.
Deliveroo will initially be available in Brisbane’s CBD, Fortitude Valley, New Farm, Teneriffe and Spring Hill, with plans to extend across Brisbane and surrounding areas within months. At launch, the company has 50 restaurant partners on-board, including Brisbane restaurants Jamie’s Italian, Kwan Brothers, Buffalo Bar, Flying Cock, La Macelleria and The Smoke.
“After successfully launching Deliveroo in Melbourne and Sydney, we are ready to expand our network further with our launch in Brisbane this month,” said Levi Aron, Deliveroo’s Australian country manager.
Deliveroo launched in Australia in November 2015. At the time, the company outlined expansion plans for the Asia-Pacific region with a focus on more exclusive restaurants that typically do not offer a delivery service.
“There is a huge appetite for premium food delivery in Australia, driven in part by time-poor consumers wanting freshly prepared quality food at their convenience," Aron said.
Deliveroo currently operates in 14 countries and 65 cities around the world, with 10,000 active restaurants and 5,000 drivers worldwide.
