St Kilda’s East 9th Brewing will be launching its third brew ‘Future Memoirs Of A Root Beer’ next month.
Following the successful launch of its first two releases: Lick Pier Ginger Beer and Fog City Red Sangria, the brewery is pleased to introduce Australian drinkers to is latest offering: an alcoholic root beer named Future Memoirs Of A Root Beer.
The brewery says that their decision to enter the alcoholic root beer space was driven out of the popularity of the category in the US, along with studies that suggest that alcoholic root beer may be “the next big thing.”
In the US, countless brands including market leader – ‘Not Your Father’s Root Beer’ – have hit the market with great success. Recent research from IRI Worldwide has also suggested that alcoholic root beer is shaping up to be a multi-million dollar category with over $111 million USD in sales generated in 2015.
Future Memoirs Of A Root Beer features a signature blend of flavours including sassafras, vanilla, cinnamon and ginger with a 4.0%ABV. The drink is designed to be served over ice and is positioned as a sessionable alternative to traditional beers.
In terms of design, East 9th Brewing engaged London-based artist Cei Willis (Vice magazine) to develop the products psychedelic label.
Future Memoirs Of A Root Beer is set to be released next month.
