Bombay Sapphire is calling on local bartenders to participate in the Stir Creativity Cocktail Competition.
It’s the first time the competition will run, with bar talent asked to submit a drink that draws inspiration from the magic of everyday life – whether it’s a gallery visit or a stroll down the street – combined with a Bombay gin product.
Bartenders will need to present the drink in a ‘saw this, made this format’, which demonstrates the reference point of the cocktail.
“The creative talent of Australian bartenders continually blows me away and I can’t wait to see what they deliver for the Bombay Sapphire Stir Creativity Cocktail Competition,” says Corina Retter, Australia’s Bombay Sapphire brand ambassador .
“Bombay Sapphire is asking hospitality professionals across the country to be inspired by the world around them and craft a cocktail based on that inspiration.”
The first round of finalists will be announced in late February, with four bartenders selected to participate in the national final round in March.
The winning bartender will take home the inaugural trophy along with $3,000 in prize money, a pin of their cocktail and a trip to London to experience the home of Bombay Sapphire where they will attend Laverstoke Mill to learn about the production process of Bombay gin.
Entries close on February 22nd 2023, with entry via stirecreativitycomp.bombaysapphire.com.
