South Australian restaurant, Fino, located in the historic Willunga region, has been sold to McLaren Vale restaurateurs, Tarik and Sandrine Maltret.
Directors Sharon Romeo and David Swain, who operate the Seppeltsfield winery and its on-site restaurant Fino at Seppeltsfield, said they wanted to wait until the right buyer came along.
“Sharon and I are eager to see what the future holds for this incredible dining space and for the community of Willunga. Number 8 Hill Street is the perfect foundation to launch someone else’s regional culinary vision,” said Swain.
The duo will now concentrate on the Seppeltsfield business, with Fino Willunga closing its doors on 22 January.
“We consider ourselves extremely lucky to have been culinary custodians in Willunga for 10 wonderful years,” she said. “It’s time now to embrace our evolving business model and concentrate on our wonderful Barossa business, Fino Seppeltsfield as well as some exciting new projects.”
Tarik and Sandrine Maltret also operate the French restaurant La Terre French in Willunga.
