Australian distiller Four Pillars has been awarded Master status for two products at the 2018 Global Gin Masters.
Four Pillars Navy Strength Gin and Four Pillars Spiced Negroni Gin were among the most highly awarded, with Navy Strength taking out a Master medal for the fourth year in a row.
“These are unreal results, we’re absolutely stoked with them,” says distiller Cam MacKenzie.
“To see our Navy Strength Gin continue to perform and impress year after year is awesome, and now our Spiced Negroni Gin is following its lead. It’s great recognition for the whole Four Pillars team.”
The Spiced Negroni Gin was awarded Master status in the Contemporary category for the second year running.
In the Contemporary category, judges were looking for unique twists on the classic gin styles.
“This is exactly the type of product I expect to get when the best distillers challenge what gin can be,” says judge Elise Craft.
Four Pillars Barrel Aged Series also received medals, with Four Pillars Sherry Cask Gin taking out Gold and Four Pillars Chardonnay Barrel Gin taking out a Silver medal. Four Pillars Rare Dry Gin was awarded a Silver medal in the Super Premium category.
