Gin Lane has opened in the space formerly occupied by Bar Chinois within Sydney’s Kensington Street precinct.
Set in a restored 18th century terrace townhouse, Gin Lane, which references William Hogart’s iconic print of the same name, captures the building’s old-world charm, with rich jewel tones, warm lighting and timber features.
Mixologist and bar consultant Grant Collins is behind the Gin Lane concept, which offers guests an intimate dining experience.
Gin Lane is a showcase of Collins’ passion and knowledge, with over 25 cocktails on the menu, 75 hand selected specialty gins from around the world (categorised by region) and an extensive selection of vodka, rum, tequila and whiskey as well as wine, beer and non-alcoholic cocktails on offer.
Cocktails include the ‘gunpowder plot’ with gunpowder tea-spiked gin, Fernet Branca, gunpowder syrup, dandelion and burdoch bitters and fresh citrus served in a smoking cloche and the ‘gin riot’ with Genever, housemade spiced syrup, banana, clove vinegar, topped with wheat beer and served long with crushed ice, candied banana and mint.
