The program for Good Food Month Melbourne 2018 has been announced, showcasing international and local chefs during the 30-day festival.
Event highlights include a Palm Springs pop-up restaurant at Federation Square, which will host Bo Bech (Geist), Alla Wolf-Tasker (The Lake House) and Andrew McConnell (Supernormal).
Saint Peter’s Josh Niland will host a fish butchery masterclass and Andreas Papadakis (Tipo 00), Mitch Orr (ACME) and Joel Valvasori-Pereza will run a pasta party.
The Fire Feast series of events will run across two nights with Danielle Alvarez (Fred’s) and Duncan Welgemoed (Africola) cooking up a storm.
Let’s Do Lunch, presented by Peter Lehmann Wines of the Barossa and the Friends of Good Food Month event series, will make a return, with the line-up of participating restaurants and events yet to be announced.
“Melbourne is an exciting and vibrant culinary mixing pot with an incredible diversity of revered chefs and restaurants that have earned their praise on the international food map,” says Venessa Cowell, director of food events, Fairfax Media.
“Melbournians really understand the significance of great food, and our 2018 program celebrates the stories that go into producing a dish and the memories that are created once you taste it.”
