Hilton Adelaide has announced the appointment of Daniel Fleming as executive chef.
Fleming will be working with a team of 30 to oversee all seven kitchens at Hilton Adelaide and the newly opened Coal Cellar + Grill.
Over his 20 year career, Fleming has worked alongside Australian chefs including Simon Bryant, Cheong Liew, Matt Moran, George Calombaris and Luke Nguyen.
“I previously worked under Simon Bryant during his time at Hilton Adelaide and this is where I started to develop my passion for celebrating local South Australian produce,” said Fleming.
“It’s exciting to return back to Adelaide to take up this position. I’m looking forward to creating some spectacular dishes and continuing to experiment with local produce to showcase the best of what we have to offer in South Australia.”
Peer Norsell, general manager of Hilton Adelaide said, “Hilton Adelaide has undergone a major renovation to both the restaurant and lobby lounge and has re-emerged under the name of Coal Cellar + Grill. The restaurant boasts a striking wine cellar with over 500 labels listed, charcoal grill and continues to champion the Seriously South Australian brand, which we know Daniel is passionate about and will heartily embrace.”
