TuanTuan Chinese Brasserie will open its first Australian outpost on 7 September in Carlton, Melbourne.
The restaurant offers Hong Kong comfort food with a French twist, but is best known for its xue shan bao – also referred to as snow buns.
The buns are priced at $7.80 for three pieces and come in four flavours including barbecue pork, pineapple, salted egg custard and almond cream.
The menu will also offer specialty fish noodle soups, prawn curry, pan-fried lemongrass chicken and Hong Kong congee.
The 100-seat restaurant will open from 11am to 11pm daily, with the space designed by WALL Architects.
“At TuanTuan Chinese Brasserie we are all about creating an inviting, fun and authentic experience that celebrates Hong Kong-style food,” says Dominic Li, owner of TuanTuan Chinese Brasserie Melbourne.
