James Street returns with more than 25 market stalls from Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 July.
The Market Day event will take place on Sunday 30 July from 10am – 6pm, and will see a portion of the street close to make way for pop-up restaurants and bars.
Leading up to the final Market Day celebration, the first three days of Food & Wine Trail (Thursday 27 to Saturday 29 July) will offer a schedule of in-venue collaborations, tastings and masterclasses.
Bar Gyu+ (aka The Fridge Door) in Niseko will join James Street locals for a number of events including a sake dinner collaboration with Harveys Bar + Bistro and a whisky tasting pop-up bar with Maker’s Jerome Batten.
Other events on the schedule include Gerard’s Bistro and Embla hat swap; a seasonal six-course dinner at King Arthur Café; local producer’s cornucopia at Scrumptious Reads; and Bucci Restaurant’s vacation series.
“This year’s four-day program will offer a full schedule of unique international collaborations, experiences and of course, delicious locally produced food for all to enjoy,” says Marie-Louise Theile, creative director of the James Street Initiative.
