Chef and restaurateur Jessi Singh has added to his Australian portfolio with the launch of Daughter In Law in Melbourne.
The restaurant is slated to open on 19 June on Little Bourke Street in Melbourne’s CBD and will echo Singh’s Sydney concept Don’t Tell Aunty.
The Australian-Indian bar and grill will offer a casual menu comprising small plates, naan pizzas and proteins cooked in a tandoor.
Sacha Imrie has designed the wine list which covers Californian varieties and new-world wines. A range of cocktails and mocktails are on offer along with a help yourself craft beer fridge.
The 95-seat venue is open for a $15 express lunch from Monday to Friday and dinner seven days a week.
Singh is best known as the chef behind Melbourne’s Horn Please, Babu Ji and Dhaba at the Mill along with international locations Babu Ji in New York and Bibi Ji in Santa Barbara.
