After announcing the closure of Hot Lips Hacienda in Bayside, the La Tortilleria team have revealed they’ll be opening a new sister venue Chilpa by La Tortilleria in Highett.
It will be a reimagination of their Hot Lips Hacienda venue with all their signature, authentic Mexican dishes.
Expect chilaquiles alongside tacos, tostadas and quesadillas made with La Torilleria’s own range of tortillas and chips.
To pair, there will be a range of Mexican sodas, beers and cocktails plus classics like margaritas, palomas, tequila and mezcal.
“We are very excited about this opportunity,” says La Tortilleria Co-founder Gerardo Lopez.
“Melbourne’s hospitality scene retains a high-quality venue and the Bayside community get to share in the joy of authentic Mexican from La Tortilleria!”
Chilpa by La Tortilleria is located at 2 Railway Parade Highett and will open on 10 March.
