Celebrating its sixth year, the annual Bars March campaign officially kicked off at the start of the month, but there’s still time for venues to get involved.
A month long celebration of Sydney’s bar culture, Bars March encourages punters to responsibly enjoy a drink or two while raising money for a good cause. Each participating bar will add a Bars March drink to their menu for the month of March, and donate a portion of the proceeds to the Animal Welfare League NSW.
The brainchild of Sun-Herald columnist, Amy Cooper, the event was originally created as a cheeky antidote to ‘dry’ campaigns such as Febfast and Dry July.
So far, 60 bars have signed up to the campaign including Hugo’s Manly, The Carrington and the Narellan Hotel. Bars that are keen to join the campaign have until Thursday the 10th of March to get involved.
In addition to supporting a good cause, venues that sign up to the campaign will have their bar promoted by the Bars March PR and marketing team via online channels such as the Bars March website, Facebook and Instagram. Bars will also be supplied with promotional point of sale materials, together with a listing and photo of their venue on the Bars March website.
