Le Cordon Bleu Australia will hold a two-day food styling and photography on 14 and 15 November at the Le Cordon Bleu Sydney campus in Ryde.
Run by food and lifestyle photographer Fran Flynn, the workshop will teach participants the tips and tricks of the trade. Attendees will learn how to enhance food photography by using natural light and props; choose the right angle; style food and manage food preparation; as well as editing and post production techniques.
Day one will explore shooting at home using available props and different lighting, while day two will focus on food photography and styling in a ‘live’ chefs kitchen, including how to communicate with a chef, trouble shoot and critiquing images. Students will also be welcome to share a restaurant lunch at the conclusion of the workshop.
“This inspiring workshop is a must attend for anyone working with food — be it for social media or the hospitality industry — who want to learn how to produced mouth watering food pictures from one of the most successful food photographers in the industry,” says Sophie Davies, senior brand manager at Le Cordon Bleu Australia.
