Lilianfels reopens Miss Lilian in the Blue Mountains

Lilianfels Blue Mountains Resort and Spa has reopened its onsite restaurant, Miss Lilian, after it closed at the start of Covid.

The owners have relaunched the Asian restaurant with updated interiors and a refreshed menu showcasing Vietnamese, Thai, and Cantonese-inspired dim sum dishes. Nestled among the trees at the edge of Echo Point, the restaurant is an ideal pitstop for those visiting the Three Sisters or the Jamison Valley.

Chefs Quang Vinh Pham and Vu Mai Truong Nguyen devised the menu, bringing extensive international experience from Vietnam and Hong Kong to the table.

A range of dumplings grace the menu, including lobster, ginger, and shallot; and tom yum flavoured prawn and squid varieties. Snacks and small eats include Szechuan spiced chicken wings, and a Thai wagyu beef salad; a range of plates and bowls include scallion noodles with shitake mushrooms and barramundi fillet with honey, sesame, and teriyaki sauce; alongside signature dishes of Mongolian braised beef short rib, and Peking spatchcock.

Cocktails continue the Asian-fusion sentiment, with the likes of the Greedy Pandan featuring dark rum, pandan, calamansi juice, grapefruit, and pandan coconut foam; the Green Dragon Margarita, with tequila, wasabi, cucumber, agave, and green chilli salt; and the Thai old fashioned with bourbon, Thai tea, and orange.

“We’re thrilled to be re-opening the doors to Miss Lilian and look forward to welcoming locals, visitors and guests in to experience street food favourites and the unique flavours of SouthEast Asia,” said Regional General Manager Sandra Kloprogge.

“Adding to the authentic culinary experience at Miss Lilian, we also have our incredibly talented Restaurant Manager, Thao Quynh Tran, who hails from Vietnam and creates the most incredibly authentic cocktails and traditional Vietnamese milk coffees,” she said.

The restaurant has a $59 set menu alongside a full a la carte menu. It is open Thursday to Monday for lunch from 11.30am – 5.30pm.
