Lotus Dining has appointed its first group executive chef, Rose Ang, who starts her role with the group on 10 April 2017.
Ang has more than 25 years’ hospitality experience working both locally and internationally at esteemed venues including Nobu Restaurant in both St Mortiz, Switzerland and Mykonos, Greece; Roka Restaurant in Macau; and Sake Restaurant in both Sydney and Melbourne. Most recently, Ang was group Asian chef across the Saffron Restaurant Group which includes Masu Robatayaki, Chinar, Fujisan Shahdag Hotel and Buddha Bar all located in Baku, Azerbajan.
Ang has no immediate plans to implement significant menu changes, focusing her energies on mentoring and inspiring the kitchen teams across Lotus Dumpling Bar, Lotus Galeries, Lotus Barangaroo, Papa Bo Min as well as two new venues launching in 2017.
“We are incredibly excited to have Rose on board. We want to continue to deliver the best modern Asian dining experience in Sydney and Rose is the perfect addition to help us do this. We have an exciting year ahead and this is a new chapter for Lotus Dining,” said Lotus Dining’s founder Michael Jiang.
