Located within Broadbeach’s Oracle precinct, Mamasan Kitchen + Bar is now open for business, offering the Gold Coast a unique spin on Asian dining.
JP Duitsch of Moo Moo The Wine Bar & Grill together with his fianc Lauren Mitchell decided to open the restaurant after identifying a gap on the Gold Coast for an Asian dining experience that rivals some of the restaurants in Melbourne and Sydney.
“We set the bar high for ourselves. We wanted a destination, not just a restaurant,” says Duitsch.
“Mamasan will focus on the food share philosophy encompassing small intimate bites through to complete banquet style, allowing the diner to tailor an experience to suit them.”
Head chef Ray Choi, previously of Sydney’s China Doll and China Lane relocated to the Gold Coast to take on the role.
Choi says that the menu he has created offers a blend of traditional and modern cuisine from South East Asia.
“Flavours are authentic, combined together to complement each other, staying true to the unique flavours of Asian culture,” says Chef Choi. “We are looking forward to surprising diners with delicious twists on their favourite dishes.”
In addition to the restaurant, Mamasan also features an adjoining bar which will serve Asian inspired cocktails, alongside wines, beer, spirits and sake.
