Manly Wharf Hotel has developed a new menu complete with its own bespoke chuck steak and brisket burger patty.
The new menu was created by the venue’s head chef, Alex Towning in collaboration with Food Rascals founder and executive chef David O’Brien (ex-Merivale), and is designed to pay homage to the casual nature of the venue and its surrounds.
The venue’s bespoke burger patty was created especially for the pub, and is served on a Hokkaido milk bread bun which employs a Japanese technique called ‘Tangzhong’ which ensures a fluffy consistency.
The new menu also offers a wide range of lighter options including salads topped with fresh Yamba prawns or smoked trout; Port Lincoln mussels steamed in fennel and chorizo; and a full seafood platter designed to share. The venue also features a $10 Little Rascals menu for children comprising pizza or pasta and an ice-cream sundae.
In terms of drinks, the menu features all the classics with the addition of the Chata Colada: RumChata topped with coconut and garnished with a pineapple wedge.
“We’ve created a menu that is inspired by our incredible waterfront and relaxed Manly vibe – one that’s fresh, tasty and easily enjoyed with friends,” says the Hotels’ general manager, Justin Tynan.
