Fable rooftop bar in Melbourne has announced it will offer guests the option to pay using cryptocurrency.
The venue, which opened in November 2021, had planned to incorporate crypto into its payment options during the development phase.
“Blockchain technology is revolutionising the way we interact, and now even how we engage in commerce with greater efficiency and transparency,” says Owner Gehan Rajapakse.
“It’s very exciting for brick and mortar merchants like us to be able to plug into this capability.”
Diners will be able to pay using Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether and other currencies, however they will need to pre-book one of three packages.
Fable’s beverage offering is led by Venue Manager and Mixologist Alessandro Nardini, who has designed a cocktail list that includes a range of vegan and gluten-free options.
The bar is open from 5pm until 1am Wednesday to Thursday and from 3pm until 2am Friday and Saturday.
