Sydney-based hospitality group Merivale will launch its own delivery service this Wednesday 6 May.
Four of the group’s 70-plus venues are onboard to begin with: Mr. Wong, The Paddington/The Chicken Shop, Coogee Pavilion and Totti’s at The Royal, which has been doing pick up takeaway since late March.
Signature dishes and weekly specials will be on offer through the delivery service, which follows the April launch of Merivale at Home. While the latter saw almost-ready dishes dropped to diner’s doors alongside drink packs and produce boxes, the new initiative will operate as a more traditional delivery option but without the reliance on third-party services.
Merivale employees will deliver meals from the four restaurants to diners within a 10km radius. Wine, beer and pre-batched cocktails are also be available. Diners can order from 12pm each day, with the service running every night 5pm–9pm as well as 12pm–3pm on weekends.
“Since the restrictions were introduced, it has been our absolute priority to support our staff, while finding new ways to deliver exceptional food and drink experiences to our guests,” said Justin Hemmes.“These new businesses are a testament to the creativity and passion of the Merivale team; I am so proud of their determination to bring them to life and thrilled that we can still be a part of peoples’ lives, especially when they can start visiting friends and family again.”
