Tasmanian whisky distillery Nant Distilling is celebrating its success at the 2018 Australian Distilled Spirits Awards (ASDA), which was held in Melbourne recently.
Nant Distilling took home a silver medal for its Nant Single Malt Whisky, Bourbon Cask 43 per cent, in the single malt whisky category and a bronze medal for the Nant Single Malt Whisky, White Oak 43 per cent, in the single barrel (or cask) whisky category.
The ASDA attracted a record 295 entries this year, a 20 per cent increase on 2017, reflecting the increasing number of distillers across the country.
This is the first time Nant Distilling has entered the competition while under the new management of Australian Whisky Holding Limited.
“We are thrilled to be awarded through the Australia Distilled Spirits Awards and this truly demonstrates the exceptionally high quality of product that Nant Distillery is producing,” says Chris Malcolm, CEO of Australian Whisky Holdings Limited.
