International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) has welcomed new executive pastry chef Jerry Lagudas to the venue.
Bringing more than 20 years’ experience to the table, Lagudas will lead a team of eight talented pastry chefs and apprentices.
Lagudas was born and raised in the Philippines and has worked in world-renowned kitchens including Harrod’s London, Atlantis The Palm Dubai and, most recently, the Alshaya in Kuwait.
Lagudas says he is looking forward to putting his creative skills to the test and delivering memorable event experiences for ICC Sydney’s clients and visitors.
“This is an exciting new chapter in my career and I am looking forward to working hand-in-hand with director of culinary services Lynell Peck and executive chef Tony Panetta to showcase this amazing produce and developing both sweet and savoury dishes, which bring together creativity, seasonal influences and craftmanship,” he says.
Director of culinary services Lynell Peck says Lagudas’ outstanding skills will bolster the venue’s culinary capabilities in delivering superior dining experiences.
“Jerry’s addition to ICC Sydney’s culinary team will only further our ability to deliver a balance of quality and innovation for all of our clients – no matter the size or budget,” she says.
“We are committed to delivering our clients’ success and creating memorable delegate experiences, both of which I know Jerry will play a key role in supporting.”
