Melbourne restaurant, Estelle by Scott Pickett (ESP), has welcomed a new head chef, Scottish born Steve Nairn.
Nairn has spent the past two and a half years at Vue de Monde, where he worked across three of the group’s venues and progressed from sous chef to executive chef.
Previous to Vue De Monde, Nairn spent a year at three Michelin starred Eleven Madison Park in New York and two years as sous chef at Edinburgh’s one Michelin starred Number One Restaurant.
“I’m thrilled to join the team and to be working with Scott. His philosophy on food is in sync with my own style and approach, and I’m excited for the future,” Nairn said.
Launched in July 2015, ESP sits alongside Pickett’s other diner, Estelle Bistro on High Street, Northcote. Hosting 52 guests, ESP offers a tasting menu of contemporary Australian cuisine, focusing on produce from local suppliers.
