Online takeaway platform, Menulog, has partnered with Zoom2u, which means its Sydney restaurants can now offer a home delivery service.

According to a statement issued by Menulog, for a small fee restaurants will get access to an extensive database of potential home delivery customers. The customers will be able to choose from a wide selection of restaurants before being able to place and track an order.

“After only a few months, we started seeing a growing number of restaurants coming to us to ask if we could deliver takeaway food. Using the new integrated delivery service, Menulog customers will know exactly where their takeaway is and when it will arrive,” said Steve Orenstein, CEO, Zoom2u.

Brian Hickey, director of advanced markets at Just Eat, Menulog’s parent company, added “We’re always looking for ways to improve the experience of our platform, so we’re pleased to be able to provide further delivery options to our customers. The partnership with Zoom2u will enable more restaurants to benefit from the additional revenue stream that a delivery service can provide.”

The home delivery market in Australia has experienced significant growth in recent months, with UK based Deliveroo launching in Sydney and Melbourne in late November, and its rival, Suppertime, expanding into Melbourne earlier in the year.
