Harlow is set to take over the Great Britain Hotel in the Melbourne suburb of Richmond.
The new concept is slated to open mid-December and will feature a basement bar, dining area, split-level courtyard and deck.
Telina Menzies has been appointed executive chef of the venue and has created a food offering that focuses on pub classics with modern elements.
“Harlow is an old-school pub with a new-school twist; the place you head to for a casual lunch and kick on into the evening,” says Menzies. “It’s fun, energetic and all about having a great time.”
Snacks include duck and bacon sausage rolls, mini crab donuts and the more substantial Jack Daniels and cola pork ribs. Moving on to bigger plates, diners can order from a steak sandwich with maple bacon and barbecue sauce or a smoked beer and cheese dog.
Mark Proctor is responsible for the drinks offering, creating cocktails such as California Girls made with citrus vodka, peach liqueur, pinot gris, orange juice and egg white and Voodoo People which features white rum, spiced rum, orgeat syrup and fruit juice.
