The Jewel Pantry is set to take over two former Tim Ho Wan restaurants in Sydney, replacing them with two new brands dishing up dim sum and roast meats.
Canton! Canton! is slated to open in February on George Street with executive chef and dim sum master Jacky Chan at the helm.
Chan previously worked at Tim Ho Wan and has 28 years of culinary experience behind him.
The 68-seat restaurant will offer dim sum and tea from 11am with barbecue meats such as duck, pork and chicken available later in the day. Dinner menu highlights include braised pork belly with preserved vegetables and caramelised sugar steamed Malay cake for dessert.
Mr Fatt will focus on Singaporean/Malaysian cuisine and will open in the coming months in Pitt Street Mall.
The two venues both fall under The Jewel Pantry Group spearheaded by owner David Howe.
