Popular dumpling house, New Shanghai, is opening in Sydney's CBD this month.
The group's first Sydney CBD restaurant will be located in Westfield Sydney and the menu will centre around New Shanghai's popular pan fried pork bun while also offering traditional Shanghainese delicacies.
Other favourites due to make an appearance on Pitt Street include prawn wontons tossed in chilli oil, peanut and sesame sauce; a range of dumplings; sweet and sour crispy beef (rainbow beef); eel with garlic and ginger; crispy shell prawns with a sweet Shanghai sauce and slow braised pork with a sweetened Shanghai soy sauce.
The Pitt Street location will be fully licensed and will feature New Shanghai's signature food and wine pairing menu, which pairs different authentic dishes with wines from Robert Oatley Wines.
Other New Shanghai outlets reside in Sydney's Chatswood, Bondi and Ashfield, with other interstate venues in Melbourne, Brisbane and Newcastle.
