OpenTable has developed a new way to enable restaurant-goers to decide where to dine and book as a group.
Launched as part of Apple’s iOS 10 software update, OpenTable’s iMessage extension gives diners the chance to collaborate on restaurant choices, vote on favourites, pick a winner, and book directly through the iMessage app.
“Dining out as part of a group is a lot of fun, however, making a restaurant reservation on behalf of friends or co-workers, particularly when you want to satisfy everyone’s mood and cravings can often be a challenging task,” said Lisa Hasen, VP of OpenTable APAC.
“We’re always looking for new and exciting ways to innovate the way people dine. OpenTable’s iMessage extension will make the dining experience more collaborative by opening up the decision-making process to everyone.”
