Peter Sullivan, one of the founding partners of the MorSul hospitality group, has walked away from his 24 year partnership with chef Matt Moran.
“Sullivan departs the business this month to pursue other opportunities and follow a path independent to the partnership,” a statement issued by the group reads.
Moran will remain in partnership with Solotel and continue to run their venues including Aria Sydney, Aria Brisbane, Chiswick Woollahra, Chiswick at the Gallery, North Bondi Fish, Opera Bar and Brisbane’s Riverbar, as well as the catering business Aria Catering.
Moran and Solotel will also be opening a “significant venue” at the new Baragaroo development in Sydney next year.
“The time is right for me to leave MorSul and pursue my own projects,” Sullivan said. “It has been a fantastic partnership with Matt over 24 years and I wish him and Solotel all the very best for all their future projects.”
Moran said “Pete and I have maintained a great friendship while we built a successful business together over the past 24 years, and we are both incredibly proud of that. Pete has decided to move on to do his own thing and I wish him the best in his future endeavours.”
